What is distance learning? Is distance learning useful for young people? What do they lose during distance learning? What are the advantages of distance learning?
Today, this issue is quite relevant. With the spread of the corona virus epidemic, we are increasingly switching from classroom education to distance learning. This type of training has become very familiar to everyone over the past three years.
During distance learning, today’s children have become better versed in the latest technologies, but at the same time, their teamwork skills are declining.
The big disadvantage of distance learning is that it makes it difficult for students to understand the educational material. Often, a student cannot learn complex material on their own, because not every student can connect to video lessons. This may be due to poor internet quality and large families do not have enough electronic devices for attending virtual lessons of all their children or there is no ccommunication with the educational institution at all. This is especially true for children who are taken to basic schools from remote villages. In addition, children’s communication skills are lost during distance learning, they lose the ability to navigate life situations and draw the right conclusions.
Among pluses, we have more time due to the fact that we don’t need to go to an educational institution. Everyone can spend this time on self-education, allocate their time usefully.
Despite the pros and cons, distance learning has the right to exist, but the form that currently exists needs to be improved.
