The Covid-19 epidemic that has engulfed the planet is forcing us to return to the general economic issues that have already faced humanity. The process of globalization, which was inevitable due to technological progress, technological breakthroughs, ever-increasing capital flows, human migration, the creation of a single financial system and world commodity markets, has provided new opportunities and benefits to humanity. At the same time, globalization has posed new challenges for the entire planet.
The current viral crisis, which has already escalated into a full-scale global economic crisis, has no analogues in the modern period of humanization. First, it has affected all of humanity, without exception, when every person, every country, every region or part of the world has sooner or later been affected or at risk of large-scale impact. Therefore, it needs the widest possible cooperation of all governments and countries.
Second, the most vulnerable, not directly because of the virus, but because of the economic consequences of the crisis, are the most vulnerable in each country, as well as poor, low-income countries that do not have the resources to protect themselves from double viral and economic shock. .
It should be noted that the Covid-19 pandemic has exposed the main problems within each country. This is especially true in the field of medicine, which has shown unpreparedness for the significant challenges of the epidemic. In 2020, when the coronavirus outbreak began in Ukraine, the second medical reform was taking place and hospitals were completely unprepared for a large-scale outbreak of the epidemic, there were not enough beds, oxygen, which was extremely necessary and still not enough, computer programs could not withstand heavy workloads. to the server and when you come to the doctor’s office, instead of examining you, asking about all your complaints, he enters the data into the program, which for a long time may not respond to these requests. Also, you will not be admitted to the hospital if you do not have a declaration with a family doctor, or you have to pay a lot of money just to get to the doctor. In 2021, despite vaccination, many people are still ill and there is a catastrophic shortage of hospital beds.
The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts that the global coronavirus pandemic will end no earlier than mid-2022. Potentially, by this time, almost all countries will be able to vaccinate at least 70% of their population.
