“Breasts sag like grandma`s”, “Looks like an escort”, “Prostitute”,, “Disgusting”, “And such women will go to the army” and many other horrible comments WOMEN wrote about appearance of woman that accompanied the Deputy Minister of Education a few days ago. It’s scary when we try to overcome the sexualization of women through humiliation.
Misogyny that is associated whith ingrained prejudice against women flourishes in women themselves. Below that photo there are 90% of the comments with horrible words about that girl. And only single about non-compliance with the dress code.
It is true that no one justifies that woman for her inappropriate attire, but why to shame her “a prostitute” ..? No one ever has the right to call a woman a “slut.” None for her dressing, not for how is she looking.
Women who do not want to be objectified come to Facebook and write such comments. This is terrible. I hope it won’t take long for them all to understand what the problem really is.
Enough misogyny. We will not be able to overcome gender inequality if we pour such dirt on each other.
